Synopsis: Sig Sauer, P220, Neuchatel Police, Boxed, G112494, I-1237 Description: One of the earliest SIG Sauer P220s, this example with folded slide, assembled in Switzerland for the police of Neuchatel, with metal extension to prevent inadvertent disengagement of the magazine release. Standard white highlighted front and rear sights. The left side of the slide, vertically cracked near rear of chamber, is marked with a large eagle within a shield, wings outstretched. The right side of the slide is marked to reflect assembly in Switzerland. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, slide and frame. Checkered black plastic grips. SIG Sauer magazines, with differently zippered spines, both with 8 indicator holes and a detachable floorplate. Blue shipping box, numbered to pistol. Condition: VG+ with wear and thinning as one might expect from a service pistol that has seen moderate use. The left side of slide is cracked. Surprisingly little wear to the anodized frame. Excellent grips and near excellent magazines. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. An extremely interesting and unusual early SIG P220 with police markings and an unusual guard for the magazine release. THE LEFT SIDE OF SLIDE IS CRACKED. SOLD AS ASSEMBLED PARTS.
