Manufactured by C.J. Hamilton & Son. The Model 51 rifle was the first Hamilton rifle to be chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge and has a 20\" steel barrel. This rifle was made in between 1935-1941. This rifle‚‚s receiver is marked \"Hamilton Rifle No. 51 .22 cal. S-L&LR Mfd. By C.J. Hamilton & Son Plymouth, Mich., U.S.A.\". This has the factory original peephole & leaf rear sights, with the front blade sight. It can be broken down into two pieces by a single screw on the stock. This model has a bolt action that requires the firing pin mechanism to be pulled to the rear after the bolt is closed. The photos of the receiver top have been enhanced to show the old factory markings
