The Savage Model 99, Model 1899 is a hammerless lever action rifle created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The Model 99 family featured a unique rotary magazine. One of the main features of the rotary magazine was to allow pointed ammunition in a lever action style firearm.
