Description:
Serial #NSN, .22 S, L, LR, 25 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the model 47 Winchester bolt action, single shot rifle featuring an automatic safety and red fire ready indicator manufactured from 1948-54 and was the first post war production rifle after WWII. The target rifle retains about 85-90% of the original thinning blue with light scattered freckling. The bolt, safety lever and trigger retain virtually all of the original chrome plating. The checkered walnut stock is solid with scattered mild scratches and contusions having an added sling swivel and a hole on the tip from a previous one. It is sighted with a Lyman receiver mounted peep sight and hooded round front sight. The original plastic butt plate has a crack at the toe. Mechanically it functions properly and looks like it will make a very good target gun. FFL or C&R
