Description:
32-1/2 inch round barrel chambered in 50-70 caliber with a bright shiny bore. Replacement blade front and folding rear elevator sight. Overall gun in very good condition. Metal is a pleasing lightly pitted dark silver/brown patina. Lockplate is marked "1863" and breech block is marked "1869". Very good markings including a couple of cartouches faintly visible on stock. Excellent-fitting wood has very few distractions. Correct buttplate with two swivels and 35-1/2 inch cleaning rod. Excellent mechanics. Arsenal marking 25 on buttplate adds historic interest. Matching early 4-digit serial number.
