"Snakeman's Den" Collection: According to the Colt Archives department, this is likely the only factory original fully gold plated Detective Special ever produced. This example shipped in June of 1991 under Factory Order #4022, and is in "As New in Box" condition. Please notce the residual burn ring around every other chamber resulting from the "Test Fire" procedure before leaving the factory. It's complete with the original serial number matching box with all original contents (hang tag, Instruction Manual, "The Colt Companion", one year service agreement, "Congratulations" letter), and Colt Archive Letter confirming the original configuration. This is a complete and truly RARE collector package (1 of 1) that cannot be improved upon in any way. I think it's pretty safe to say you'll never see another one like it anywhere, at any price...
