Description:
Serial #A22057, .303 British, 25" barrel with a very good bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome rifle that was sent for FTR (Factory Thorough Repair) in 1957. The rifle retains 90-92% of the added black Suncorite finish, that has flaked to the underlying metal in some spots, mostly along the raised edges and on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. There are matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, magazine, and underside of the forend just aft of the nosecap, and a Mk. 1 adjustable rear sight is installed. The wooden stock, forend, and handguards have numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered throughout the arsenal reapplied varnish. The rifle is fitted with a period blue-gray canvas RAF sling as well. This is a fine example of a No. 4 rifle that was arsenal refurbished after the Korean War. FFL or C&R
