Description:
Special Ordered 1892 Winchester Takedown Rifle in 25-20. Manufactured in 1911. 24" round barrel and full magazine retain 90% original blue. I will rate the bore an 8.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Correct and original front and rear sights. Rifle has great markings. Receiver retains over 90% original finish with some brown mixing in on the belly portion of receiver. Rifle / takedown is nice and tight. I have not attempted to take down this rifle and appears to have not been taken apart in a long time or if it ever has period? Some case colors showing in protected areas of hammer and lever. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. Buttstock has a sling swivel hole (see pic). Action functions nicely. Small dent in magazine tube near takedown lever (see pics). All in all just a nice honest Special Order 1892 Winchester Takedown Rifle in higher condition than you normally see. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This rifle as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it.
