This is the Sporting version of the 686 Silver Pigeon. case, etc. This is Beretta's answer to an all around gun that is also good for the Field, BUT the advantage of a Sporting is that the safety doesn't engage every time you shoot. So if you are planning on shooting clays, spend the extra $100 and get this version. How do you know sport or Field? It has the mid bead and the product code for 686 Sporting guns for Beretta have an "S" not a "F". This one is J686SJ0 L. The ending 0 ishows 30 not a 32.and The L is Left.
