ADDITIONAL DESC: A good condition, older Remington hunting rifle. The wood does show some light dings and indents from honest use in the field. The butt pad is not quite as soft as it once was, but should still provide some recoil absorption. The rifling, chamber and muzzle crown are all in very good condition. The rifle has an un-loaded weight of 8 1/2 pounds. The trigger releases at a measured 5 1/4 pounds. The vintage Bushnell Scopechief 3-9x40 scope has very thin cross hair reticle, with no target dot. The L J barrel date code would indicate a Feb. 1962 month and year of manufacture. Sorry, but we do not have the factory box, paper work, ammunition, second magazine, spent brass, reloading dies, cleaning kit, or any other tools or accessories for the rifle. While the rifle has been cleaned, lubed and inspected by our gunsmith, it has not been test fired.
