Description:
BSW DSM-34 bolt action training rifle. Made mid-1930s by BSW (Berlin Suhler Waffenfabrik), formally known as Simson. Caliber markings on the barrel, followed by the serial number. Chamber is marked "BSW / Suhl". Right side of the receiver is marked "Deutsches Sportmodell" in gothic script. Commercial pre-War proofs on the barrel, receiver and bolt. No import mark found. Matching serials on the barrel and bolt. 26" barrel with blade front sight and rear sight adjustable to 200 meters. Approximately 75-80% original blue finish on the metal components. Smooth metal butt plate has turned a silver/brown patina. The wood pistol grip stock and top hand guard have handling marks, scratches and dents. The left side of the stock has a repair as well as "1951" scratched into it. Very sharp bore with crisp rifling. Safety and action mechanically function very well.
