Antique 41 Cal1837 Dated Springfield .69 Cal. Conversion 1816 Musket
At offer is an original Springfield 1816 Model US Musket with a Bolster type conversion and a lock that is dated1837. It has been professionally cleaned back to the white. The stock retains inspector marks as can be seen in the photos. The ramrod appears to be a modern replacement as does the hammer screw and a couple of other screws. The lock is very tight and works well with a strong spring and clear markings. The barrel 40" long and of .69 caliber. I do not accept trades but am happy to consider serious offers.
