SALE PENDING.......1862 Dated Springfield Civil War Musket....VERY FINE+.....& ORIGINAL SLING.... LAYAWAY?.... .58 caliber, 40" barrel. Barrel proofs of "V", "P", and eagle. Musket three leaf rear barrel sight. Dated on the breech "1863." Lockplate with "US Springfield" and Eagle dated "1862." Walnut stock with three barrel bands and a original leather sling. The stock has been lightly cleaned with dim cartouches on the left flat. All metal has nice even look with a gray to brown patina. The bore is excellent...SHOOTABLE!. The ORIGINAL leather sling is in good condition! .....Good example of U.S.
