Payment Types Accepted: About Us: When calling ask for the Gun Library Description: Here we have an original Rock Island Arsenal 1903 bolt gun, based on the stamp on the barrel, manufactured in 1919. The metal is in very good condition, with the wood having weathered patina on the cheek weld and in other spots from handling. The bore is frosted in a few spots and has some minor pitting, with the rifling still crisp and defined. The action is solid, locking up firm with a crisp action. I don't see any signs that the gun has been rebuilt, but I'm not an expert (based on my research when they were retooled they stamped a "P" on the action.) The barrel is stamped behind the front sight "VA" with the flaming bomb insignia of Rock Island Arsenal, and below that "2-19", which based on my research is the manufacture date of the barrel. There isn't a lot of rust prevalent, just a few minor surface spots on the bayonet mount, but the action appears to have been very well maintained. The leather sling appears to be late 50s early 60s era and not original, and is weathered and cracking in spots, but is still hanging in there. .30-06 Springfield SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: .30-06 Springfield Metal Condition: Very Good Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: "Frosted in a few spots, with some minor pitting Barrels: 24 Stock Dimensions: LOP 13 Fore End: Weathered wood Butt Pad: Textured steel Weight: 10 Lbs Sights: Flip up adjustable Item Location: Columbus, OH |
