This Mauser Model K98k was manufactured at the Feinmechanische Werke GmbH, Erfurt, Altonaerstr. 25 plant. The action has AX X1940 manufactured code stamp, eagle (waffenmarks) eagle 280 inspection and acceptance stamps. The barrel, action have matching serial numbers and have the proper inspection and acceptance stamps. The stock may have been stamped post war by the Russians. The bolt and bottom metal are not serial numbered to this rifle. It is discreetly import stamped. 8x57mm
