Serial No. 28806, circa 1863-1864, .54 caliber, 21"" round barrel. Overall condition is untouched, oxidation is noted on all metal parts and is a dark brown/grey patina. Bore is poor with heavy oxidation visible in the lands and grooves. Rear sight is missing, nipple and ignition system will detach from the breech. Factory markings are visible and legible. Stock shows heavy ""combat"" use with initials carved into the left side. Action does not hold at half or full cock. Carbine looks like its seen some action!
