Description:
Price REDUCED. Offered is a near mint (probably unfired) 3rd generation (manufactured 1981) Colt SAA with one-piece ivory grips. I was told by Colt archives that a factory letter would not indicate the type of grips installed when shipped from the factory. Their records do not have any grip info. Athough I have no way of knowing, it’s possible this SAA was sent back to the Colt Custom Shop for ivory grips. The grips are polished to a mirror finish and are flawless except for a small fracture at the top right panel (see photos). Fitting of the grips is excellent. Made in .44 Special. The finish is around 100%. The cylinder has been turned but there is no scratch line around the cylinder. Proper tuning prevents that cylinder ring. The bore and chambers are perfect. Original box is included but it is worn and scuffed. No manual or accessories.
