WINCHESTER Model 70 Pre-64 made in 1953 (serial number 278467) in .30-06 caliber, original open sights with hood, factory butt plate, LYMAN 48T rear sight with missing slide, bright glossy bore all in excellent overall condition. The bluing is all original in 98% condition; the walnut stock is excellent: no cracks, nice sharp checkering, overall stock condition: 98%. I am not sure, but I suspect that the stock , at some point, has been re-varnished. This rifle was factory drilled and tapped if you prefer a scope and comes with a MONTANA 1 1/4" bridle leather sling that is quick and easy to adjust...no tools, no noise PLUS a very nice soft zipper carry case.
