Description:
Rifle is pretty good. The wood I'm fairly certain is refinished but the receiver still retains its bright chemical grey or coin finish (I'm fairly certain it is original to the gun but its not quite shiny enough to call it coin but brighter than most chemical grey guns I've seen). The engraving is crisp and well executed, it is unsigned and I'm not into speculating who did or didn't engrave it. Better to just appreciate the work for what it is when they don't have a signature present in my opinion.
The wood is typical grain for these earlier rifles although in the right light its pretty attractive! It's fitment to the butt plate and receiver is also quite exceptional with little to no gaps or misalignment present!
Overall very nice condition with only a few freckles on the barrel and some wear on the trigger gaurd. The rest of the gun has very little handling or wear present. The case is what I would call 5/10, its not bad but does have handling and wear throughout, some loose stitching, and one of the inserts is damaged.
