Winchester 1885 Low Wall Winder Musket in 22 Short. Made in 1918, SN: 131625. appraised at $1,800 by Guns International. U.S. and ordnance bomb marked behind the hammer. The U.S. bought these for troop training during WWI. 28” barrel, blue finish, walnut stock and forearm. Original sights. Condition: excellent bore, 95% barrel blue, 80% receiver, receiver sight has flaked to 50%, excellent wood, excellent mechanically, excellent marks. This 1885 is known as a "3rd Model" due to finger band on forestock and a single steel band. The factory standard sites included a adjustable rear leaf site...the sites on the rifle were a factory option. Price is $1,150 and is firm as it’s fair.
