Patent date 1882 on this Ames Sword Co. Lock. It is a well made heavy Brass Lock that works fine. I don't know if the key is originial but it fits good and works. Belongs in a Sword collection. Only one I've ever seen. See Photos. Gold piece not included used for size comparison.
