"Sharps 1850 .40-70 caliber sporting rifle. Made in 1876. Very nice gun as semi customized. Barrel is excellent as professionally refinished. Butt stock is a replacement and the checkering on the forearm was done post factory, but during the period of use. The case colors on the receiver has turned to gray, but the action is nice and tight. Gun is equipped from the factory with double set triggers. Bore is excellent. Tang sight is a modern replacement. This gun was shipped to Kittredge and Company in Ohio. Guns shipped to Kittredge are considered western shipped guns. Overall this is a great looking gun that resembles a Midrange. Really nice attractive gun price reasonably!
