"SN: B5786. Contract rifle based on the Carcano, made in Italy c. 1939 for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Good condition overall with typical handling marks and a chip on the left side above the trigger guard, and another on the dust cover. Bore is dark but has good rifling. Buttstock has small crack at the top, and the top and bottom pieces have separated slightly. Metal has about 80% of blue with some cleaned surface rust. Bolt and buttplate have been cleaned of light scale. Action functions correctly. Austin location.
