Description:
Up for sale is an early production model 1876 Winchester in the 45-75 caliber. This beautiful gun has low serial number of 6838 and was manufactured in January 1880. This rifle is in excellent condition with lots of original bluing, excellent bore and an unsanded walnut stock. It features the highly desirable thumb-print dust cover and a 28" round barrel. Cody document comes with this rifle verifying its original configuration and authenticity.
This is a fine early examply of the model 1876. It was Winchesters first production of the big bore rifles.
