Synopsis: Attractive Ithaca 1911A1 pistol, U.S. Military, WWII, 889550, FB00737 Description: Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address and 'P' on top. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspection mark and "P" below the magazine release. The model designation, the SN, and U.S. Army markings on the right side of the frame. The lug is marked with an 'HS' (High Standard) and 'P', as is correct for an original assembled pistol. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow serrated hammer, short grip safety, stamped trigger, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips. Correct blued magazine marked with an 'R' on the toe. Condition: Near excellent, original parkerized finish with sharp edge wear, minor thinning, and discolorations reflecting its history of service. Near excellent grips and magazine. Dull bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
