Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Order, Certified Funds Description: Spectacular, Antique Colt single action artillery model revolver, .45cal with a 5 1/2" barrel. This is a very nice gun, with most of the original bright blue still remaining, and some nice case coloring still visible. The finish on this gun is the original finish, since it was made into artillery configuration at Colt in 1903! (see pics for condition, as they are part of the description, as well). This is one of the more rare Colt contract guns, (see factory archive letter), as most of these were converted at the Springfield Armory. The frame is D.F.C. inspected, the trigger guard is from a J.T.C. inspected revolver, the back strap is H.N inspected (see pic), and the cylinder is R.A.C. inspected between the chambers on the back of the cylinder. There are two "P" proof marks located on the bottom of the barrel shown in the pictures. The barrel address, patent dates, and U.S. markings are all nice and clear. Excellent condition grips, near mint, bright excellent bore, excellent mechanics, although the safety notch is somewhat weak but positive, and nice unmolested screws. The gun looks better in person, than the pictures show! This gun is far superior than most of the Colt artillery revolvers out there , and has not been offered for sale, before now. Please ask questions if desired. Shipping is $50.00 to the lower 48 states. NO FFL required, unless the state you live in requires one for transfer.
