Serial No. 53794,circa 1864-1865, .22 Short RF, 3 3/16"" octagonal barrel. Barrel and cylinder are a smooth grey patina with pin prick pitting visible throughout. Cylinder has the ""1855"" ""1859"" & ""1860"" patent dates. Bore is good with frosting visible in the grooves. Two piece rosewood grips show handling and usage wear mostly on the right side. Serial number is marked on the right grip. Inside Grip strap has a screw missing with gouges in the metal. Action indexes correctly with a tight lock up. consignment
