Could have been used in various wars to include WW2. Mechanically functions fine and tight and has all matching serial numbers. This interesting gun comes with the original factory letter confirming its configuration and stating it was shipped on December 29, 1894 and delivered to Takata & Co. of Yokohama, Japan, agents for the Japanese government. Mechanically tight and excellent. Metal finish is original blue with patches of loss to brown and gray patina. 6 ½” barrel has a bright excellent bore with strong rifling. Checkered hard rubber grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Original lanyard ring is present.
