****SOLD**** Presented for consideration is a Savage made Enfield No.4 Mk.1* bolt action military rifle chambered in .303 British caliber. This is an original US Property stamped Enfield No. 4 MK 1 Rifle from WW2 manufactured as part of the Lend Lease program to help arm Britain. There is no date stamp on this rifle, but it was most likely made in 1941-1944. This Savage Enfield appears to be in all-original condition with it's original stock that shows a toe repair and lots of handling marks that you would expect to see on an issued and combat-used WW2 rifle. The metal parts show a nice even patina and degree of wear. All of the numbered parts match including the bolt and even the magazine. The action is smooth and locks up perfectly to the barrel when in battery, and all of the controls are in 100% working order. The bore on this rifle shows even wear throughout the barrel with scattered shallow pitting but no deep pits, bulges, or major damage. The sights are the standard style consisting of a protected front post that is drift-adjustable, and two-position flip-style rear peep sight. If you have been looking for an American-made Savage Enfield No.4 Mk.1* for your collection that looks like it has seen combat and can be shot without harming it's value, this example would be a great choice.
