A Very Early And Rare Civil War Percussion Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon With A Loading Lever & 4 Inch Barrel In Excellent Plus Condition. Serial #14,731, all matching numbers including the wedge. Made in 1850. The revolver has excellent plus to mint metal, markings, and edges. It has a very clear and sharp cylinder scene. The barrel and cylinder retain nearly all of their original factory blue with only a couple of very tiny spots of light thinning. The frame, hammer, and loading lever all retain their early mousey case colors on them. The back of the cylinder retains its original pins. All screws are original and fine. The backstrap and trigger guard are excellent throughout and retain most of their original factory silver with some light thinning on the back from holding the revolver. The original factory grips are mint throughout and retain their original factory varnish on them. The gun has an excellent plus bore and action. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of A Rare Civil War Percussion Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon With A Loading Lever & 4 Inch Barrel That Would Be Very Difficult To Better!
