This was originally a rifle, now a Carbine in 44 Magnum, will not take 44-40 ammo, orig stock has rifle buttplate not carbine! Has now a 18" Barrel, with perfect bore, and rear sight groove filled in, Williams rear peep sight added, and ramp front sight, makes a great quick sight picture, for moving Game shots !! Action is the smoothest I have ever had! Will shoot 44 Special and magnums, not 44-40, Wood is EXC also, no cracks, a fun gun for special target work also, 18" bbl, with 44 special ammo! Made in 1896, Antique !!
