Up for your consideration is, without a doubt, one of the most collectable Winchester Model 70 rifles in recent manufacture. This Model 70 is chambered in .458 Winchester Magnum with a high grade checkered walnut stock. This rifle is a pre-64 manufactured in 1957. It is in 98% condition with no rust, no pitting, and no fading of the mesmerizing blue finish. Only 1226 of these guns were manufactured, and this is one of the highest quality and best condition we have seen on the market. The walnut stock is like new with only a few very small imperfections to be seen- no cracks or dings. The original rubberized buttplate is in excellent condition with great color. Unfortunately I believe the barrel has been cut down for easier maneuverability in the thick bush.
