Description:
This is a single cartridge in .50-140 Express manufactured by Winchester with a 300 grain express bullet that is filled with a copper cup marked with an "X". Never cataloged by Winchester this "W.R.A. Co. 50-140 EX." head stamped cartridge is described in One Hundred Years of Winchester Cartridge Boxes, 1856-1956 by Giles & Shuey as: "Though uncataloged, the fabled 50-110 Express is very rare and seldom encountered in any form." (P99) The cartridges is in excellent condition.
