Beautiful Colt SAA Bisley Model in 44-40 caliber, manufactured in 1900. The mechanics of this revolver are perfect, as the pictures will show. The lock up on the cylinder is as factory new. All of the "clicks" can be heard clearly. The bore on the barrel and cylinder are as shiny as new. The ratchet on the rear of the cylinder shows almost no wear. Grips are perfect, with no chips, cracks, or sign of wear. My conclusion is that this revolver had very little use over the last 123 years.
However this revolver has been re-blued. What caused it to be re-blued is a matter of speculation. It certainly wasn't from over use.
