****SOLD**** Here we have a Lipsey's exclusive Ruger New Model Bearcat single action revolver in .22 long rifle caliber. The Ruger Bearcat is a single-action, .22 caliber revolver manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., introduced in 1958. It is based on the classic Remington single-action revolvers of the mid-19th century. Because of its compact size and frame, it is advertised as being ideal for hikers or campers in need of a .22 LR revolver, or "kit gun". The stainless steel on this fine Ruger is like new....if it has ever been shot it was VERY little. There are a couple of light handling and storage marks. As a Lipsey's exclusive it has a few special features like an unfluted cylinder with rollmarks of a bear and a cougar and adjustable rear sights. The front sight is a ramped blade. Being a single action revolver this is a very versatile sidearm....it can fire .22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle and .22 shot shells. Being a "New Model" Bearcat it has the transfer bar mechanism allowing the loading of all 6 chambers and having the hammer sit on an empty chamber is not necessary. The grip panels are excellent being free of any sort of cracks or chips and each has the Ruger medallion. Quite simply this is a beautiful little Bearcat. Many people get a cross draw holster to wear on the front while carrying a holstered centerfire handgun on the other side....or while carrying a rifle.
