***SOLD*** High condition Model 1873 with rare 20" short rifle barrel in 44 WCF caliber. S/N 640557B made in 1910. Original finishes throughout with very strong bluing, particularly on the barrel and mag tube. The receiver shows some scattered scuffs. Very nice case colors on the lever, hammer, and trap door crescent buttplate which holds a 3 piece set of cleaning rods. The wood is remarkably fine, with the only real detractor being a 1/4" dark impression on the foreend that looks like it could be from some cowboy's forgotten cigarette! The bore is exceptional, bright and shiny with no noted imperfections. Sights are a staked gold tone blade front and a Winchester sporting rear with patent stamped c series elevator.
An extremely well preserved example in a seldom encountered configuration.
