Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade 12ga 28" - European Market Gun - Rare
This Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade in 12 Gauge is a very unique shotgun. The Model 23 was built by Olin-Kodensha in Japan and introduced in 1978 and discontinued in 1987. Made for the European market, this Model 23 features a long tang trigger guard, black tip splinter forend and a hand rubbed oil finish. Usually these guns brought into the US had a short tang trigger guard, fairly plain wood and either a semi-beavertail or full beavertail forend. This lovely Winchester Side-by-Side shotgun is chambered in 12 Gauge and is chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells. It has Coin receiver and dark gloss blued barrels and trigger guard. The barrel length is 28 inches and features a solid rib. It has a single selectable trigger and ejectors. The chokes are Cylinder/Improved Cylinder (.006" Right and .011" Left) and the bores are in excellent condition. This would make an awesome upland or clays gun. Weighs 6lbs 7oz.
