These were a late variant to the iconic Savage 99's. Produced from 1965 to 1997. Gun is excellent and just needs to be cleand up.
Light carry wear underside on the clip from being carried. No meaningful bruises, or scratches or flaws that we can see.These C models incorporate the handy later tang safety, retain the case colored (faded) lever of earlier models as well as the cocking indicator feature also from earlier models and the good looking distinctive Savage Indian Head on the alum butt plate. The decoration on the right side of the butt stock will scrape right off with a fingernail.
