SER#16289, .50 cal., 21” barrel with a good bore showing spots of light pitting throughout the strong rifling. The metal surfaces retain about 95% original blue with a couple spots of loss on each side of the barrel toning to gray, with those on the left side of the muzzle displaying some pinprick pitting, a few scattered tiny freckles of light oxidation, some fine scratches and light high edge silvering and a few tiny impact marks around the breech. The bolt is bright and the polymer pistolgrip stock rates about good with some scattered light handling from the field. The original sights and sling swivel studs are intact, an alloy ramrod with minor silvering on its tip is included and mounted to the receiver one Tasco 3-9x40 optic retaining about 96% original black anodized finish with some light high edge wear. A fair example of these early inline black powder rifles.
