Description:
Drillings, Double Rifles, and Rifles - This in my opinion is the best drilling design ever achieved. The top slide on most drillings is a rifle activation switch but on this drilling, it is the safety just like on any other double barrel. The side cocking lever cocks the rifle internal hammer to activate the rear trigger to the rifle. When not cocked the rifle hammer is in a down and sear protected position so there is no possibility of firing the rifle while shotgunning.
I have owned an almost identical gun for 25 years and I continue to take it with me on almost any bird hunting trip. Another really cool feature is the peep sight inlet out of the way in the top tang.
