Description:
Outstanding Springfield 1903 National Match rifle. This rifle received extensive care since both wood and metal are in excellent condition. Bolt and stock are serial numbered to gun. The stock has nice inspectors cartouche and the serial number is ahead of rear sling swivel. Proof catouche on pistol grip. Just a few light imperfections in wood finish. The barrels bore is mint and has the star gauge mark at the muzzle. Barrel is dated 3-39. Sights are correct and excellent. National match rifles had a polished nickel steel bolt stem. These actions are very smooth and extra fitment was applied to the action and trigger group by Springfield craftsmen.
