Here is a Pristine Smith & Wesson Model 25-2 \"Model 1955 .45 Heavy Barrel Target\" revolver. Chambered for the .45 ACP, this revolver is built on the big square butt N-frame and wears a 6\" pinned barrel with target sights. The rimless .45 ACP ammunition is best used with \"moon clips\" which aid in ejection and fast reloading, but the gun can be fired without them. Features include the target hammer, target trigger and target stocks.
Condition: This firearm was acquired from the Estate of a previous FFL who retired and kept his remaining stock for his personal collection. The revolver is In “New Old Stock” condition, in the original box. Never fired or sold to a customer. Condition is excellent with all of the factory blue finish remaining. There is an extremely faint cylinder turn line that cannot be seen unless under our Photo Booth lights. Virtually no handling marks to the gun or grips.. There is no rust or pitting and the original blue finish rates about 99.9% overall. The target stocks are in pristine shape, appearing as new. The mechanics are in perfect working order with correct timing and solid lock-up. The bore is likewise excellent, bright and sharp. It appears to have been only factory test fired.
Included: This once in a lifetime revolver comes in the original two-piece factory box which is in very good condition. Also included are the instruction sheet and warranty card. According to available information, this revolver was manufactured in about 1973. A strikingly beautiful N Frame Smith & Wesson revolver!
