Description:
Early non rebuilt M1 carbine with a barrel date of 1-43 with I cut stock,high wood, low serial #,etc. The previous owner of rifle had filed the N stamped front sight blade to a knife edge which I replaced. While not an expert on carbines I only did the basic take down to inspect parts and didn't disassemble bolt. Included in pictures is data sheet I downloaded from the Milsurps site and recorded my findings. I purchased this from a friend who received it from his uncle who he remembers his uncle having it in the sixties, that's the only history I have on it. I will send additional pictures if requested by text # or email if interested. Also willing to meet in person within a reasonable driving distance in N.Y. for viewing rifle. Any sale is through my local FFL dealer only.
