Description:
This is a rare and desirable Springfield M1 Garand that was made in 1941, before Pearl Harbor and U.S. involvement in WW2. The barrel is also marked with British proofs that would indicate this rifle was issued as part of the Lend-Lease program. It's in terrific, original condition with proper drawing numbers throughout. A list of those parts is shown in the photos of the listing. Excellent finish throughout with minor but common wear on the gas tube. Minty bore. Very nice stock with early, sharp GHS inspector's mark. The wood has various dings and nicks but no cracks.
