This is a first year produciton (1955) model 88 Winchester in the popular .308 caliber, with the hand cut checkering, etc. Rifle has an excellent bore and chamber - excellent overall condition. Rifle has had a Pachmayr pad installed as shown. Original magazine is present. About the nicest model 88 we have seen in quite some time - just look at the photos. And a first year production gun as well......1955.
