I'm selling my collection. A Rare Antique Imperial Japanese Type 18 Single Shot Battle Rifle, chambered for the 11m/m x 60 R Murata similar to the .43 Mauser & 11mm French Gras. Type 18 came out in 1885 and served succesfuly in many wars until 1919 invented by the Infantry Major Murata (on one of the picture). All serial number are matching. 31.1/2" long barrel with an excellent shinny bore with sharp rifling, due to a squib there is a small 1" ring from the muzzle to remedy in order to improved the accuracy it should be crowned by retroceeding the crown just under the ring. The original finish rates 60% turning brownish patina . many scratches and small dents on the wood from use, service & gun rack. I haven't shot it. It was well kept and preserved. The old cartridge and illustrations showed on the pictures are not sor sale.
