Listed is a Martini-Henry Mk 1 made by Peabody - Martini Patent out of Providence RI. USA. These rifles were made at the request of the Turkish government. 600000 were ordered in the 45 Turkish caliber, which I believe this is. It is a exact copy of the Martini-Henry Mk 1 except the markings and caliber. This Is the first pattern converted to the second pattern. It comes with a bayonet no scabbard which fits the rifle. The rifle is tight and functions as it should although I have not fired it. Bore is very good. There is an old repair on the wrist of the gun which was held together with wire. It since has been properly repaired. It is Turkish proofmarked.
