Description:
This fine New York target rifle was made by Alexander Wright of Pooghkeepsie, NY circa 1840. It is mechanically in fine condition and is 100% original with no missing parts. The overall condition of this rifle is excellant as the pictures will show. It does have a period wrist repair that was professionally done and the wrist is still sound today. This rifle has a lovely Burl Walnut stock with a checkered wrist. The barrel Octagon to round with 2 gold and 1 silver bands at the breech. The rifle is mounted in German Silver that was professionall and expertly engraved. The lock and triggers work flawlessly and the bore is in very good condition. The rifle is approxamtely 40 caliber. Trigger Guard is an iron guard, not German Silver. This rifle is in excelant collector condition with great patina on both the metal and the wood. Resonable offers will be considered.
