Here's a Excellent Example of a WW2 Colt 1911a1 Parkerized Robert a Sears inspected 45 auto ! Serial number 742,485 . There were only 15,000 of these Parkerized R.S. Inspected Colt 1911a1's Issued ! There where more than 100,000 W.B. Inspected Colt 1911a1's issued . Five times the amount ! That's what make these R.S. Inspected Colt 1911a1's so desirable . Most of these guns went to the Pacific with the U.S. Navy or the U.S.M.C troops . This gun was shipped on November 21, 1941 . 2 weeks before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor ! Gun is all correct parts and all matching numbers! Gun is in excellent condition with most of the parkerized finish still remaining! Gun has scratches and handling marks but is a very sharp gun with little use. Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition ! Gun locks up tight and is in excellent working condition !
