Here's a Excellent Example of a Colt SAA U.S. Calvary gun that was Sold to the American Public after the war ! See Kopecs Book for reference ! Serial number 86,792 . 7 1/2" barrel . 45 caliber. Colt Factory Nickel . Original wood grips ! This Gun was issued to and used by the U.S. Cavalry during the Indian Wars ! After the war the government sent them back to Colt and Colt refurbished them with nickel finish and sold them to the public ! Gun went through the late 1800's . When America was growing into a Civilized World ! Cool Cowboy Gun ! Gun has some of the nickel finish still remaining .markings are sharp .,wood grips are worn ! Bore and mechanics are very good ! Gun locks up tight ! Gun has all the proper clicks . Excellent working condition! Above average Colt SAA That's seen some American History in its day !
